Nokia launched 114 with support for Urdu for Rs 2,579

Nokia today launched its 114 feature phone, which comes with support for vernacular languages, especially Urdu which will be provided for the first time in a Nokia phone. Nokia provides support for 11 languages on its phone portfolio, and with this phone has also added Urdu to the list. The phone has been launched to cater to the masses in India and is thus priced for Rs 2,579.



BlackBerry launched BB 9720 in India for Rs 15,990

Back in August, BlackBerry announced a new device called the BlackBerry 9720. The talking point about this device was that it had a dedicated BBM key and was the first BB device to be unveiled this year that didn’t run on BB10. During the announcement, BlackBerry had promised that they would launch the device in the first-half of September, and moments ago the Canadian company officially launched the phone in India for Rs 15,990. It will be available from September 14 onwards.



Design-wise the BlackBerry 9720 looks like a mix of the Bold and Curve smartphones and it will be available in black, blue, pink, purple and white colors. As mentioned above, it sports a dedicated BBM key.

Spotted Samsung Galaxy S4 running Tizen OS

The world has been awaiting to see what comes out of Samsung’s efforts on Tizen and it seems we would have to wait a wee bit longer for that. Tizenindonesia has posted a set of photos that show off a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone with Tizen 3.0 running on it and highlight a rather flat user interface of the OS.


Micromax launched Canvas Ego A113 for Rs.12,499

Micromax has again silently launched the Micromax A113 also called the Canvas Ego a quad core handset with a smaller screen of 4.7 inches. This handset is listed on Snapdeal for Rs. 12499.



The specifications we believed would be similar to the Micromax Canvas HD or the Micromax A116, however it is different. The Micromax A113 is powered by MSM 8225Q clocked at 1.2GHz. It runs on the Android 4.1 OS with dual SIM support.

Nokia Lumia 720 Dual-SIM variant allegedly in development

The famous tipster evleaks says there is a chance Nokia is working on a dual-SIM Lumia 720. Unfortunately that's all we get at this point.



Celkon launched Monalisa ML5 Android smartphone for Rs 10,999

Celkon Mobile gas launched the Monalisa ML5 smartphone in India for Rs 10,999, and it boasts of a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and has a 4.5-inch OGS display with a qHD resolution. The phone runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, which admittedly, is not the most recent version of Android, but still users can enjoy most of the new apps as Google is now iterating on the core Android apps at a break neck pace.

Gionee Elife E5 Video review

The Gionee Elife E5 is loaded with 1.5GHz quad core processor from MediaTek running Android 4.2.1 with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage. The key highlight is the AMOLED screen and the ultra slim body with a 6.85mm thickness. The Elife E5 is now available for Rs. 18,999.



The price of Rs. 18K may seem a bit on the higher side but once you open up the box pack, and hold the handset, you will be more than satisfied with your decision. Inside the box you will also find a free flip cover, screen guard, data cable, travel charger, warranty card and user manual.

Apple unveils iPhone 5c

The much awaited Apple iPhone 5C has finally been launched. The handset will be available in 5 color variants and unfortunately like other iPhone devices this one too doesn’t fit into the budget category.



The iPhone 5C will cost $99 for the 16GB version and $199 for the 32GB version (with contract) in the US. Without the contract (Unlocked version) the same will be available for approx $549 and $649 this when converted to INR it comes to over Rs. 34,000 and over Rs. 40,000. For now a budget friendly iPhone or a cheaper iPhone is still a distant dream.



The Apple iPhone 5C weighs just 133 grams with an 8.9mm thickness. The screen is 4 inches supporting resolution of 1136×640 pixels with 326ppi and what Apple calls is as the ‘Retina Display’. The handset will be available in Green, Yellow, White, pink and Blue color variants.



iPhone 5C also flaunts a 1.2 megapixel camera on the front and another 8 megapixel camera (iSight) on the rear. It is an auto focus camera with LED flash support. Full HD video recording (with video stabilization) and playback is supported.

5C is powered by an A6 chipset and houses a single Nano SIM. This handset runs on the iOS7 OS. There are proximity, accelerometer, light and gyro sensors. The built-in Li-ion rechargeable battery gives a talk-time of up to 10 hours on 3G networks and up to 10 hours internet usage on a 4G network.

Other features are 4G, 3G, GPS with GLONASS / A-GPS and Bluetooth 4.0. There is still time for this handset to hit the Indian stores but most of you will be keen to know the Apple iPhone 5C price in India.
