The Galaxy has made a grand entry into the smartphone market, and with the Samsung I8552 - Galaxy Grand Quattro, it will definitely make some waves. The phone is a candy bar styled device with a Dual SIM capability. The GSM frequency device has a dual standby mode which is ideal for power saving measures. The phone comes with the basic office accessories like document viewer apps and a push-mail service.


The TFT Capacitive touch screen is 4.7 inches in size, making it quite a big screen. The multi-touch WVGA screen has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It runs on the latest Android V4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. The phone sports a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A5 Quad Core processor. This is very useful for multi tasking and gaming along with the Adreno 203 graphics chip. The 5 MP primary camera is very well designed and is capable of high quality photography together with the photo editor, face recognition feature and touch focus. The secondary camera is a 0.3 MP front facing camera. The LED flash in the phone is capable of lighting up dark subjects in a photo. The device is also capable of recording videos at 30 fps.
The Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery is capable of keeping the device powered up for adequate periods of time. The phone comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory which can be further enhanced to 32 GB with the help of microSD cards. The Galaxy Grand Quattro is capable of GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It can also connect to the PC via a USB port.
