The phone is basically a smaller version of the Galaxy S4, but also sacrifices on many hardware features to hit the more affordable price point. That being said, it retains all the software features of the Galaxy S4. Samsung had pulled a similar move with the Galaxy S III and the Galaxy S III mini last year.
It is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a qHD resolution. On the back it has an 8-megapixel camera and on the front it has a 1.9-megapixel camera. It also has a 1,900 mAh battery and comes with 8GB of internal memory which can further expanded by up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. It runs on Android 4.2.2 with the TouchWiz UI which adds features like smart scroll, sound and shot, group play, drama shot and much more.
Weirdly, Samsung has positioned this smartphone higher than the Galaxy S III, which admittedly on paper has a superior feature set. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out.
