Windows Phone 8.1 screenshots leaks

screenshots3

We have been seeing glimpses of features that are likely to be introduced on the forthcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update. Now the folks at TheVerge have uncovered a set of pictures posted by a Reddit user, which shows what looks like an early build of a new notification center that is likely to be introduced on future Windows Phones, along with other new features.

The screenshots have been taken on a Lumia 920 that seems to be a device meant for developers running on a software version identified as 12084.WPMAIN (wpbldlab).20130509-1407. In addition to a new notification center, the screenshots also show a redesigned calendar app, which allows weekly views and Microsoft also seems to be improving the multitasking functions of Windows Phones by allowing users to close multiple apps at one time.

It is difficult to comment on the authenticity of the above screenshots, but TheVerge does mention that it’s not unusual of Microsoft to include early builds of upcoming software on developer devices.
