Samsung Galaxy Core officially launched in India

A few day back we mentioned that Samsung Galaxy Core was up for PreOrder on samsung indian e-store. Today it was officially launched in India on Samsung e-store for Rs. 15,350. it was available in two color option white and blue. which will be available on e-commerce sites and retail stores across the country





As we have reported before, the dual-SIM Galaxy Core features a 4.3-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card and 1,800mAh battery.

Talking of its photo-clicking capabilities, the device features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA camera at the front. The 3G-enabled device also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and on the software side of things, runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with TouchWiz UI layer on top.

As an introductory offer, Samsung is offering Rs 5,000 on its Digital Wallet, which is valid for 90 days from the day of purchase and can be redeemed on the games available on Samsung’s store. To avail the offer, one has to SMS ‘MyOffer’ to 56886 to get a link to the myServices app.

Additionally, in partnership with Idea and Vodafone, Samsung is offering free Internet data for a limited time. Vodafone 2G users will be offered 1GB of free data each month for a period of two months and the offer is only applicable till September 30. Idea 2G and 3G users, on the other hand, will be offered 500MB of free data each month for a period of two months. This offer ends on October 31.

As we’ve mentioned before, priced at Rs 15,690, the Galaxy Core will see competition from the likes of LG Optimus Black, Sony Xperia J and the HTC Desire X among others.
