Gionee CTRL V4 with quad-core launched for Rs. 9,999

Chinese smartphone vendor Gionee has launched a new device in the Indian market called CTRL V4. The 4.5-inch mid-range device is available on e-commerce sites and retail stores across the country for Rs 9,999.




Talking of specifications, the CTRL V4 flaunts a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor, paired with PowerVR Series 5XT GPU and 512MB of RAM. Other features include a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, VGA front camera, in-built Yamaha PA 168 digital sound system, 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded to up to 32GB using a microSD card and 1,800mAh battery.




Connectivity-wise the CTRL V4 features dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and on the software front, the device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes pre-loaded with protection software to safeguard the private information and messages on the phone. Gionee offers the CTRL V4 in black and white color variants and bundles the device with an 8GB memory card and a phone case. Priced at Rs 9,999 the CTRL V4 will face competition from the likes of Karbonn Titanium S1 and the Xolo Q800 among others.

Gionee is also gearing to launch the ELife E6 simultaneously in countries like China and India on July 10 at an event in Beijing.
